This is one of the most popular parks in the area. It is a beautiful setting, with some amazing facilities for visitors to enjoy themselves while they are there. There is an outdoor amphitheatre and two reflecting pools which make this park a great place to spend time.

Lethbridge Park Reserve

This natural bushland reserve provides sanctuary from urban life for locals who want their children to grow up close to nature. The walkways encircle walking tracks that lead through sandstone cliffs, rainforest gullies and open grassy areas where you can picnic or play games like cricket as well as explore caves and lookouts built around rock formations such as balancing rocks.

The grounds contain both sports fields used by local clubs during weekends and also large open lawns which are perfect for picnics and playing games.

White Bay Park

This is one of the smallest parks in Rookwood but offers some unique features that make it worth visiting. The park contains a restored building from 1872 called the White Bay Coal Shed Museum, where you can learn about coal mining history while enjoying spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and its surrounds. They are also three small museums on site devoted to maritime trades such as boatbuilding, masonry, and engineering. One exhibit displays an old wooden ship’s lifeboat with detailed instructions explaining what sailors would do if they found themselves adrift at sea! You won’t want to miss this hidden gem when exploring Rookwood!

The park has several statues and memorials which are quite interesting to explore. Near the entrance is a statue dedicated to coal miners, while close-by you will find some commemorations for those who fought in World War I and II as well as a plaque honouring Australia’s first female harbourmaster, Evelyn Maud Mudy Hughes.

NSW Garden of Rememberance

This is the memorial dedicated to all soldiers and civilians who have served in various wars. The park features lush green grass, a large lake, public artworks and an eternal flame which surrounds the tomb of unknown Australian soldier killed on active service during World War I.

Rookwood Russian Memorial

This memorial is a unique and beautiful addition to the Rookwood area. It commemorates those who lost their lives in World War II fighting against Hitler’s forces. The park offers views of the surrounding bushland as well as an opportunity to read inscriptions on some large, granite sculptures depicting various scenes from Russian culture.

One thing that visitors will notice about all these parks is that they offer something different – whether it is family-friendly activities or natural beauty perfect for escaping urban life. Make sure not to miss any when exploring Rookwood!
