Rhodes, NSW is just a short drive from the coast and offers some of the best parks in and near Strathfield. Here are some of the best:
The Rocks Park

This park has a playground for children that will make any parent’s heart melt at the sight of their little one playing on equipment designed specifically for them. There is also an area reserved exclusively for toddlers to play with water jets and sprinklers. On top of all this, there are plenty of benches available if you want to take a break while your kids tire themselves out!
Rhodes Beach Reserve
If you’re looking for something close by but still beautiful enough to be considered one of the best parks in Rhodes, NSW then Rhodes Beach Reserve is the place for you. The park has picnic and barbecue areas, a large playground with swings, slides, and more as well as plenty of grassy areas where kids can run around freely.
The Pitt Town Nature Reserve
There are few things better than heading to one of Sydney’s nature reserves on a hot day! This reserve provides an area perfect for picnics with friends or family while you enjoy the breathtaking view from atop Mt Annan overlooking Strathfield Golf Course. There are also cabs available if anyone in your party would like to go into town but doesn’t want to walk (or if there isn’t enough space in your car). If this sounds too strenuous then fear not because they have recently added a walking trail that is perfect for all ages and abilities.
The Rhodes Memorial Park
This park has a little bit of everything! There are both an indoor and outdoor playground, picnic tables and barbecue areas as well as toilets, bike paths to neighbouring parks, and even some tennis courts.
Rhodes Foreshore Park
If you’re looking for a park with more of an ocean view then the Rhodes Foreshore Park is perfect. You’ll find plenty of space to lay on the grass, play games or just enjoy some fresh air while taking in some coastal views.
McIlwaine Park
This park is a mixture of native and exotic plants with plenty of great features. There’s an open amphitheatre, public art installations for kids to explore as well as play equipment that will keep the whole family entertained!
Strathfield Golf Course Park
Not only does this small but beautiful green space offer nine holes on one of Australia’s best golf courses it also has some entertaining activities for children which include two swings, three sets of tees, and even a putting course designed especially for them! The course itself is situated in such a way so that when you’re playing you’ll have sweeping views over Rhodes, Annandale, and beyond.
