Church Point is a small neighbourhood situated in Mona Vale, New South Wales, Australia. The population is about 1,300 people and it has been around since 1838 when it was founded by Sir Thomas Mitchell. Church Point was first established as a military outpost for soldiers who were guarding convicts that had been sent to work in the area. In recent years, Church Point has become popular with retirees because of its proximity to both Sydney and Brisbane which have major airports making them easy destinations for travelers from overseas or other parts of Australia.

Brief History

This neighbourhood became a part of Mona Vale in the 1950s. The population is about 12-1300 people and has been around since 1838 when it was founded by Sir Thomas Mitchell

Culture

This neighbourhood is populated by people with Anglo-Celtic culture, which is a culture that is heavily influenced by the traditions of England, Ireland and Scotland.

Church Point, NSW has its own beach which spans for two kilometres and is popular with families because it doesn’t get as crowded as other beaches in the area like Mona Vale Beach can during peak summer periods.

This neighbourhood also has many unique restaurants like the Cornish Arms Pub, The Red Cow Café or La Cucina Italian Restaurant to name just three that are worth checking out on your next visit.

The Church Point Plaza Shopping Centre offers residents plenty of places where they can do their grocery shopping at markets prices or eat lunch while enjoying some fresh air from one of the food courts inside buildings.One thing you don’t want to miss when visiting this neighbourhood is the Church Point Lighthouse which was built in 1859 and takes about an hour to climb.

Church Point’s main attraction is its beautiful beach which attracts tourists from all over the world as well as locals who live nearby to enjoy this natural treasure. The area also features a golf course that was established back in 1875 making it one of Australia’s oldest courses still operational today. There are plenty of shops and restaurants scattered throughout Church Point so there really is something for everyone here!
