Killara is a suburb in Sydney, New South Wales. It’s located 22 km northwest of the Sydney CBD and lies on the Lane Cove River. It is a largely residential area with plenty of parks to explore for playing or relaxing:

West Killara Park features an open space for sport and recreation. There are two unofficially named play spaces (Dinosaur Valley and Dinosaur Mountain) which have been created by local residents with materials purchased from Bunnings Warehouse at their own expense; they were constructed between 2001 and 2008, but children can still enjoy these little areas as well as having access to swings/slides, etc provided by Council near Blue Gum Ave entrance

East Killara Park is used mostly in the winter months for soccer and cricket, with a number of courts available.

Killara Golf Course is situated on the southern border of Lane Cove National Park in an area once occupied by sandstone quarries. It has been designed as one 18-hole course but can be played as two separate nine holes courses or combined into 36 holes if required (usually only during peak hours). There are also clubhouse facilities which include a bar/lounge room, pro shop, and kitchen; it caters for social golfing events such as weddings

Leuralla Reserve is another park in the area that includes playgrounds etc., this time owned by Council.

Woodlands Drive Reserve features exercise equipment and plenty of open space to play sport: tennis courts, netball courts, cricket nets etc.

Greengate Park is a popular spot for families who enjoy spending time outdoors. It includes an 18 hole mini-golf course, barbecue facilities, playgrounds, and picnic spots with braai stands. It is a popular spot for birthday parties, company picnics, and other social gatherings.

Killara Park is a great place to walk pets on a leash. It has many off-lead areas where animals can enjoy themselves without being restricted by their owners, and picnic/barbecue facilities (tables).

The Warrimoo Recreation Reserve is located on the western side of Killara, in the suburb of Warrimoo. It comprises two football fields, one cricket field with wickets at both ends and three tennis courts. The park also has toilet facilities as well as picnic tables and barbecues.

Quarry Masons Reserve is situated next to the Lane Cove River. It features a children’s playground, picnic tables, and barbecue facilities as well as plenty of open space for recreation such as ball games or walking trails (upgraded by Council in 2014) in Killara NSW.
