Welcome to the Northern Beaches! North Narrabeen is a beautiful place and we are going to take you on a tour of all the best parks. Read on!

  • Lakeside Park: This is a great place for a picnic on the grass, or to take your kids. There is even a big playground!
  • Narrabeen Beach: Spend some time at this beautiful sandy beach and enjoy the ocean breeze. The waves in winter are pretty epic here too – so make sure you check it out before they head back south again!
  • Kingsford Smith Park: This park has an awesome climbing frame and plenty of space for sports games like cricket or soccer.
  • Narrabeen Sportsground: This is a great place to watch your kids play soccer or cricket, and there are also tennis courts.
  • Avalon Beach: Grab some fresh seafood for dinner at Avalon! The water here is calm and perfect for swimming too – you can even hire stand-up paddle boards if the waves don’t suit you! You’ll need to book ahead of time though as it gets busy really quickly.
  • Nareen Reserve: This is a great place for some fishing, but you’ll need to be careful of the tides!
  • St. Ives: This is one of the most famous surf spots in Australia – it’s where everything happens! There are plenty of little cafés and stores along this street if you want to explore further too.
  • Long Reef Point Lookout: One day we will all have our own time machine and then we can go back into geological history at Long Reef Point… But until that day comes, just admire from below with your camera as this spot has awesome views over Narrabeen Lagoon (and maybe even see an echidna or two)!
  • Berry Reserve: You can go horse-riding or play tennis here – there’s something for everyone!
  • Pat Hynes Reserve: Great for a soccer or cricket game, and there’s also a big playground here.
  • Buderim Reserve: This is an awesome place to have your picnic – the grass comes right down to the water! There are plenty of birds around too if you’re lucky enough to spot one.
  • Alleyne Avenue Lookout Reserve: This is a great spot for bird watchers, and you can also see the surfers at Long Reef Point from here. It’s also a popular spot for weddings!
  • Pat Hynes Reserve: Great for a soccer or cricket game, and there’s also a big playground here.
  • Epworth Park: This is an awesome place in North Narrabeen to have your picnic – the grass comes right down to the water! There are plenty of birds around too if you’re lucky enough to spot one.
