Canley Vale was established in 1884 and has grown into one of Smithfields’s most multicultural suburbs. There are many interesting landmarks and places to visit near the Canley Vale region, including:

Wetherill Park Nature Reserve

This is one of the last remaining natural areas in western Sydney. You can explore some of the nature trails, or you might find yourself at an event such as a treasure hunt, bush walk or bird watching tour.

Federation Park

Brenan Park

Brenan Park is a significant historical landmark near the Canley Vale region, and was once used for cattle grazing. It has now been transformed into a modern space with its own skateboard park, mini-golf course, and attractive water features.

Smithfield Wetland

This is the largest wetland in southern Sydney, and you’ll be able to see up close some of Australia’s most loved bird species. You could also take a guided tour through this natural habitat that features seasonal rushes, reed beds, and more!
