Collaroy is a beautiful beachside suburb that has something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for surf, relaxation, or some of the best fish and chips in Sydney – Collaroy has it all! Situated on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Collaroy, NSW is just 40 minutes from the city centre by car. If you’re travelling without your own set of wheels, catch a train to Cronulla station and head north towards Freshwater before catching a bus to Coogee Bay Road.

Below are the best places to visit while here:

The Beach Club Collaroy

This is one of the best surf beaches in Sydney, and is a great spot to spend an entire day. The Beach Club Collaroy is also open for lunch on weekends and evenings during summertime – perfect!

The Be-At Surf School

They even have special rates just for kids aged seven years old upwards which is fun for families who want everyone to learn together or parents keen to share their love of surfing with their children from as young an age as possible.

Fisherman’s Wharf Café

Here they offer delicious fresh fish dishes like barra burgers, schnapper sandwiches, grilled snapper fillets and more.

United Cinemas Collaroy

This theatre is one of the few left in Sydney that still shows first-run movies and it’s also wheelchair accessible. They’ve got everything from family films to horror, so there’ll be a movie for everyone!

Coogee Bay Hotel

The Coogee Bay Hotel has been around since 1882, with this great pub being popular among locals and tourists alike. It boasts live music seven days per week so you always know you can listen to some tunes while enjoying your meal or drink here. There are plenty more places at Collaroy worth checking out too – make sure not miss them on any visit!

Liquorland Collaroy

You’ll find over 150 types of wine, beer and spirits at Liquorland Collaroy. They also have a highly trained staff to give you the perfect recommendation for your next purchase so make sure not to miss out on this one!

Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden

if you want to take in some of the best plant life Sydney has to offer, head on over here. The Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden is open every day from sunrise until sunset – so there’s no excuse not to go for a visit!

Redhead Beach

If you’re looking for one last place to see before heading home then we recommend Redhead Beach which is just 20 minutes north of Collaroy by car. It might be well known and popular among Sydneysiders but it doesn’t stop tourists loving this little spot too.
