Quiet and Quaint Places Near Bilgola, NSW

The coast of Mona Vale is a popular tourist attraction, with its beautiful beaches and abundant scenery. It’s just 30 minutes from Sydney CBD by car, and there are many places to visit while you’re here. We’ve compiled a list of the best things to do in and near Bilgola:

The Bilgola Beach Walk

The Bilgola Beach Walk is one of the most iconic walks on the North Shore coastline. You’ll find it at 1 Mitchell Parade, which is about 10 minutes away from Mona Vale. This walk will take you past secluded coves that are perfect for picnics as well as some old military bunkers left over from WWII! It’s a great place to take your family for an afternoon of fun.

The Mona Vale Golf Course

Mona Vale is home to one of the best golf courses in New South Wales, which makes it especially attractive to visitors during the summer months! It’s about 20 minutes from Bilgola and their greens fees are some of the most affordable in the state.

The Bilgola Headland Park

This park is a great spot for picnics and leisurely walks, with views of Sydney’s North Shore coastline! It’s located about 20 minutes from Mona Vale at 18 Mitchell Parade. You’ll be able to see some interesting rock formations that are worth checking out when you’re there.

Bilgola Beach

The Bilgola beach is one of the most popular attractions in Mona Vale, and it’s a great place to try some swimming or surfing! It can be found at 20 Mitchell Parade, which is about an hour from Sydney CBD by car. There are plenty of other things to do on this beaches as well – take your family for a picnic while you’re here!

Winnererremy Bay

Winnererremy Bay is a nice spot to get away from the city and spend some time relaxing. It’s about 30 minutes away by car, so it can be a good place for you to stop during your trip up north if you’re looking for more quiet spots to visit while in Mona Vale!

The Bilgola Lighthouse

This lighthouse has been standing at the headland of Bilgola Beach since 1880. If you want an excellent view of Sydney Harbour, this lighthouse is worth visiting! It’s located right next door to the beach walk mentioned previously – just follow Mitchell Parade past Bilgola Headland Park and continue down until you see signs that say ‘Bilgola Light House’. You’ll be able to see the lighthouse from there, and it’s about a 20-minute walk.
