Walk in a Park

There are many parks in Milperra to explore. If you are looking for a relaxing place to spend some time, the best parks are Narrabeen Lakes Park and Bicentennial Memorial Park. Both have beautiful views of Sydney Harbour AND they’re just down The Esplanade from one another!

Explore Nature

Milperra is home to many nature reserves such as Garigal National Park which has endless walking trails and scenery that will take your breath away! This park also offers camping grounds for those who want an all-natural weekend adventure or just want a break from city life.

Visit Rockdale County Golf Course

Looking for something active? Grab your golf clubs (or borrow some!) and head over to Rockdale Country Club where there’s always room to enjoy a round. This course is great for beginners and experienced players alike because of its wide variety of challenges!

Go Shopping

Milperra has two shopping malls, one on the south side of town right off The Esplanade and another just up the road in Mascot which makes it easy to explore without going too far away from home. These shops are perfect if you’re looking for things like groceries or children’s clothing. For those who want something more upscale, there are also plenty of stores with clothes that will fit your style.

Visit Milsons Point Lighthouse Museum

History buffs will love this museum where they can get a glimpse into what life was like before electricity by exploring light-powered devices such as a lard oil lamp or a kerosene stove.

Have a BBQ with Friends

Eating outdoors is always a pleasure and Milperra offers many parks with picnic areas for you to enjoy! One of the best, St. Ives Park has plenty of room where kids can play while their parents relax on one of its benches or take in some sun at the children’s playground.

Visit a Museum

Tucked away in the heart of Milperra’s shopping district is the National Art School which offers guided tours and workshops for all ages. This school was founded over 100 years ago by artists who were looking to advance their skills, so it’s no wonder that this place has been called “a living museum.”

Visit a Theatres

Whether you’re into comedy or drama, there are plenty of theatres available right here! Visit one like State Theatre Company Sydney where they offer theatre programs year-round with shows such as Annie (which is currently being performed) and Les Miserables on Broadway. You’ll be entertained for hours with these performances!
