West Pennant Hills is a neighbourhood of Castle Hill in the state of New South Wales. It’s located about 30 kilometres from the centre of the city and has an area of approximately 5.14 square kilometres. West Pennant Hills was first settled by Europeans around the 1830s when a land grant was given to James Wilcox for his services as surgeon and assistant surgeon in India. The population is currently over 15,000 people with most residing on the eastern side towards Parramatta Road which houses many shops, cafes, and restaurants that are popular among locals.

  • West Pennant Hills is home to the West Pennant Hills Golf Club: This club has a 36 hole championship course and is situated on the western side of Parramatta Road.
  • The Sydney Turf Club also resides in West Pennant Hills: This club hosts horse racing events to offer entertainment for locals and visitors alike, it’s located next door to the golf club mentioned above.
  • There are many schools in this suburb including: Holy Family Primary School, St Benedict’s College (a Catholic secondary school), East Hills Boys High School, Macquarie Fields Girls’ Secondary College just to name a few!

West Pennant Hills can be found about 30 kilometres from the centre of Sydney which makes it an ideal destination with affordable housing options as well as public transport that makes commuting into town easy! It boasts quite a bit of history and culture with two golf courses, a racecourse, and many schools to choose from.

  • West Pennant Hills is part of the Macarthur Region that has been proposed as an environmentally sustainable new city within Sydney’s metropolitan area by 2050! With plans for green spaces, walking trails, public transport links such as light rail systems in place West Pennant Hills will, NSW have all it needs to be one of the most liveable suburbs in Western Australia, not just Castle Hill. The township consists mostly single-family residences with some duplexes; over 95% are detached houses or semidetached homes on blocks ranging from 800m² up to 1767 m².
  • The suburb also offers residents access to amenities like a shopping village, a public library, and the West Pennant Hills Sports Club that offers sporting facilities for residents.
